Book Club: The Erotic Mind

We’ve got some sources on this one. The book under consideration is The Erotic Mind by Jack Morin. Stealing the show from Jack is Audre Lorde, with her Uses of the Erotic. As usual, we also were thinking about Dan Savage’s media empire, and about the focus-on-the-female sexology of Emily Nagoski.

Thanks also to the dirty mags Steve and Whyla encountered as adolescents—in the woods, under beds, in bathroom cabinets. Steve’s formative publication tended to be Penthouse, whilst Whyla encountered the more niche and lesser known Gent and Juggs.

We also mention Morin’s appearance in the DVD The Better Sex Guide to Anal Pleasure, which is very worth watching.
