The Promises – (Part 9) Promise #7

I will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in my fellows. 

I believe that this promise, promise number seven, is closely tied to promise number six. Once I lose the feeling of uselessness, as I said in the last episode, the program steered me in the direction of looking for ways to share this beautiful way of life.

At one time I was very much involved in meetings and speaking and helping in some physical ways. Lately, my physical self has become more or less detrimental to attending outside functions. My hearing is getting worse, even with hearing aids it is sometimes difficult. I am now legally blind, so you don’t really want to see me behind the wheel of a car! I have to complete artificial knees and some fairly severe sciatica. So I have decided, with the help of my beautiful wife Pat, the best way to share this way of life is through podcasts and writing books. I did not know how I would do in either one of these but I am discovering that much like the old slogan, “ let your fingers do the walking”, the more I let my Spirit to the talking and writing, the less likely I am to fail.
