When I apply step eight to my day-to-day life there is one word that constantly shows itself. That word is awareness. If I try to make a list of all persons I have room, harmed, well, must be aware of who they are. Let’s face it, if I am living and working this 12-step program the way I it is directing me, there should be no persons I am harming on a daily basis. If I am making that daily decision to turn my will and my will and my life over to the care of God, and follow okay ing through with it, I must be doing well. However, God has not taken full control of my life. The point is, He makes suggestions, through my Spirit, and the depth to me to choose whether or not to follow them. Quite often, my little friend, rationalization, will show up and attempt to eliminate things or change them around into what it thinks is my favor.
So, my job in doing this step in the world is to be aware of my behavior, and note any persons I may have harmed during the day.
