Step10: Keeping Vigilant. (Part 2)

We will take a brief look at the second half of this step, “when I was wrong, I promptly admitted it”.

This phrase reminds me of my constant battle with my nemesis, ego, and its constant companions, rationalization, and procrastination! When I identify a character defect or shortcoming, my ego, (which is always working to get me to think I am looking good), automatically goes into overdrive in order to protect its human from the slightest hint of inferiority. 

Unfortunately for the ego, we have, at this point in the steps, discovered our capability of free choice. Not only have we found this God-given tool, along with the Grace to use it, but we now utilize the power of Spirit as well.
