Step 4: An Honest Look at Myself (Part 3)

In this 3rd episode about step 4, I talk about the words “searching and fearless”. 

These words were the antithesis of any morality I had back in the day. My words back then would have been more like, “complacent and ‘scared to death’” My Spirit, on the other hand, substitutes ‘love’ for any of my words! When I said YES to God, all vocabulary became useless, at least in a spiritual sense. If I need strength, or insight, or perseverance, they all were available in the form of love. That is the result of the 1st three steps. The love of our Spirit automatically transfers into human strength, etc. Now I can do this step without fear. I can use it as a steppingstone on my path to spiritual enlightenment. This step will not result in a ‘tabula rasa’ of my soul. It will result in, if you will, a ‘tabula-guidelines’. It will be an insight and learning experience for my future challenges.
