Though this is posting during the pandemic, it was recorded much earlier. One of the guests is in the nursing field and so we honor her and those who continue to provide healthcare to us daily. This episode is one that brings much insight and wisdom to the podcast. Carol Huber and Amy Huber Ziebart join us with stories of their careers, their family and interacting in community. Carol is a retired teacher who gave to her students more than just the lessons of the classroom and we talk about meeting former students and getting that affirmation that makes you know it is all worth it. She has raised three children, one of whom is developmentally delayed and Carol shares insights of the challenges, opportunities and blessings. Amy is a nurse and talks openly about her passion and desire to be at the important moments in the lives of her patients. With peeks into motherhood and how juggling home and work…and a bit of reminiscing with host Amy Stackhouse…you’ll be sure to crack a smile The memories of one young girl as she babysat can still bring laughter. There’s heart to this family and the ideas of “can do” run deep. An update from the time of recording is that Amy did go back and hit the books to get her masters and so she studies elbow to elbow with her boys...even moreso since they are home early due to school closing during the pandemic.
