Jesus addresses our common tendency to worry, especially about material needs like food, drink, and clothing. Through the examples of birds and lilies, Jesus shows how God faithfully provides for His creation - reminding us that if He provides for them, He will certainly care for us, His children. The cure for worry is not to fix all our problems, but to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness”, trusting that everything else will be provided. As Jesus bore our burdens at the cross, He invite us today to lay our worries at His feet and trust in the Father’s love and provision.
