Mise en place is a French culinary phrase which means "putting in place" or "gather". It refers to the setup required before cooking.
YOU MUST RESPECT PUTTING EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE. ONE OF THE REASONS I STARTED THIS PODCAST IS SO I COULD BRING TO LIFE THE INTIMATE DINNER CONVERSATIONS THAT I'D HAD FOR YEARS WITH MY FRIENDS. THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL ABOUT A TERRIFIC MEAL WITH GREAT CONVERSATION AND OF COURSE A GLASS OF A CAREFULLY SELECTED WINE BOTTLE. EVEN THE MAGIC OF THE KITCHEN WITH SAID GLASS IN HAND WHILE THE MUSIC IS PLAYING AND THE FOOD IS BEING PREPPED AND THE GREAT DIALOGUE HAS ENSUED, IS SOMETHING I CHERISH. THIS IS AN ODE TO THE ROMANCE OF LIFE AND MY ROMANTIC FRIENDS.
