Pretty Boy Floyd - Akins, Oklahoma

Charles Arthur Floyd, was an American bank robber and gangster, who operated in and around the West and Central states. His criminal exploits gained widespread press coverage during the 1930s, and has continued to be a familiar figure in American popular culture, sometimes seen as notorious, other times portrayed as a tragic figure, even a victim of the hard times of the Great Depression in the United States. While he is considered one of the greatest outlaws or gangsters of prohibition, Floyd also, has many connections to the Southern United States, including being a Southerner himself, and also has the honor of having the most attended funeral in Oklahoma history.
