In the thirty-seventh shloka of Soundaryalahari, Adi Shankara describes the descent of Shiva-Shakti from the Devi’s Ajna chakra to the Vishuddhi chakra. Here, the samayachara sadhaka worships this divine cosmic couple as ‘Vyomeshwara’ and ‘Vyomeshwari’, with Akasha (ether) tattva as the presiding element. Shiva as ‘Vyomeshwara’ is portrayed as the pure transparent crystal (sphatika), symbolising the pure consciousness.
Experience the spiritual wisdom as we unravel the deeper meaning of this shloka and its beautiful interconnection with the mesmerising Raga Vagadhishwari.
