Shloka 36: Tavajnachakrastham - Raga Abhogi

In this divine stotra of Soundaryalahari, from shloka 36 to 41, we see six chakras described by Adi Shankara in the path of descent of Shiva and Shakti from Sahasrara, beginning at Ajna chakra in Shloka 36 all the way down to Muladhara in shloka 41. Shlokas 36 to 41 must be understood from the perspective of Shiva-Shakti’s descent through the sushumna nadi. In the present 36th shloka, Adi Shankara salutes Parashambhu and Parachit residing in the Ajna chakra, who is self-luminous with unparalleled effulgence.
