In this thirtieth shloka of Soundarya Lahari, Adi Shankara illuminates the presence of eight divine attendants of Devi, known as the Siddha Devis, who possess the power to bestow extraordinary spiritual abilities (siddhis) upon devoted practitioners. The shloka further reveals how a sadhaka who recognises and worships Devi in Her complete magnificence as the supreme and eternal divine presence is blessed with moksha - the ultimate liberation from the endless cycles of birth and death.
This philosophical teaching is presented through the melodious framework of raga Todi, inviting listeners to contemplate and meditate upon its significance.
