Luke 15:28-30 (NIV):
"The older brother became angry π and refused to go in πͺ. So his father went out and pleaded with him π. But he answered his father, βLook! All these years Iβve been slaving for you πΌ and never disobeyed your orders β... But when this son of yours π¦ comes home π , you kill the fattened calf π for him!β"
The elder brother's heart reveals a hidden danger β serving God with a transactional mindset. π€¨ He thought he deserved more because of his obedience. His bitterness blinded him from sharing his fatherβs joy. π This attitude can creep into our hearts when we feel overlooked or when grace is shown to others we think donβt deserve it. π
Is there bitterness in your heart when others are blessed? π€ Ask God to expose any hidden pride or entitlement. π Real love rejoices when others receive Godβs grace β even if they seem βless deserving.β πβ€οΈ
Use this as a reminder to check your heart and celebrate Godβs grace for all!
