Are you one to worry so much that you can't even enjoy your trip?
Do you worry about pick pocketing, being followed, belongings stolen or being physically attacked? These 5 common tips will put your mind at ease and as you practice them, build your confidence as a solo traveler.

1) Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
2) Stay and walk in populated places. Don't walk down an alley by yourself for example.
3) Don't leave your purse or belongings unattended or hanging off the back of a chair.
4) Trust your gut! If your instincts are telling you it doesn't feel right, get out.
5) Learn self-defense. Take a class or a series before your trip to build self-confidence.
