Healing or harming? That's the question Dr. Paul Marik faced as the COVID-19 pandemic spread through the country. Until last year, Marik was a professor of medicine and Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). He resigned last year amid controversy over his use of ivermectin and other COVID-19 treatments in caring for patients.
