Wells Maley on Fashion, Silk Scarves, and How to Start a Business in College

Today I am joined by Wells Maley. Wells is an ATL native. She loves all things mid-century, enjoys unwinding with BravoTV, and jumps at any excuse to dress up!
 
Swells started during her time at UGA, but at first, it was only an Instagram account. "@swellsofsplendor" was a virtual moodboard where Wells anonymously posted photos that she loved... think colorful ensembles, vintage advertisements, and anything Slim Aarons.

At the same time, Wells was wearing her mother’s + grandmother’s silk scarves as tops/ accessories. Wells loved being able to wear something classic, yet creative, amongst her peers.

Between the inspiration received from her Instagram moodboard + her desire to revamp silk scarves on the college scene, it didn't take long for Wells to start designing her own. And just like that, the Swells brand was born!
