Making a Global Impact Through a Family Tradition with Kate Stewart

Kate Stice Stewart is the founder of Bauble Stockings, a beautiful family tradition that has taken off in the past 5 years. In the most traditional sense, they are based on Kate's own family's tradition. Bauble Stockings are ornament-sized needlepoint stockings that hang on your tree. They are meant to contain, or hold a clue to each family member's final gift of Christmas. It's not meant to be the most expensive gift, but the most thoughtful, the one that makes you feel warm, fuzzy and thought-of. Since launching, Kate has launched into other holidays, now having Bauble Stockings for Hanukkah, Birthdays, and Valentine's Day. Hand-stitched needlepoint, these heirloom stockings are made for fair trade by moms in Haiti, who are able to work from their homes and on their own schedules.
