Lisa Kirk on Starting a Shoe Brand + How to Take the Next Right Step

Today I am joined by Lisa Kirk. Lisa is the founder of Maylis, a Southern-based-and-inspired women's shoe brand that launched in June 2022. A former wedding magazine editor and fashion copywriter, Lisa shifted from the editorial world to the entrepreneurial world shortly after her second child was born. Working with multi-generational factories in Italy to bring her designs to life, she is passionate about creating classic, high-quality shoes that carry women through their days—from work, to the home, and everywhere in between—as well as through different seasons of life. Lisa lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband and their three children.
