The season for creeping scares is over, beloved listeners, but that doesn’t mean the love of all things strange has to end - this week, the Sneople take on Weird Sci-fi Movies!

After some brief talk on what the best and worst months of the year are, it becomes clear that this episode was recorded on a very special day No, not Ezra’s birthday (though it was pretty close) - it was the one year anniversary of November 5th 2020, aka the day large swathes of the internet lost it’s collective mind. Matty, Helena, and Ezra talk about the day in question and how Supernatural is somehow on season 17 despite ending a year ago. From there, they get into the meat of their actual topic and try to define what makes a sci-fi “weird” in a way you don’t see so much in other genres. Yes, they do talk about Dune (2021) a LOT.
