They taught Chinese language since parents wanted their kids exempt & ADD ENGLISH or WRITING or SPECIAL ED. It was clear. You'd get MORE SPECIAL ED, but also, you do have to do the work so getting out of class isn't a good idea. It's field trips. It's socialization and culture. It's so different! You never know what a child is interested in unless exposed to it. 

I remember the form. My writing is in those files since I said, I'll write a proper note. They don't get to just stop going to class since it's a DISCUSSION with the SPECIALIZED/SPECIALIZATION DEPARTMENT. 

It's professional. It's longitudinal (for life). It's resource-heavy. Positive Reinforcement Activated. Super great when you have rapport with STUDENTS' ADVOCATES. Needs to be self-. That's what's I've learned.
