TranslationIvan the terrible is one of the most controversial figures in Russian history. He ruled in the middle of the 16 century. On the one hand, it was a extremely cruel and impulsive person. During his rule thousands of innocent people died. On the other hand, he aggregated the scattered lands and made a united state.

The main results of his rule: – victory over old enemies of Russia (Tatars) – new system of laws – printing (typography) – oprichnina
