Why Do We Close Our Eyes When Kissing?

Throughout history, humans have known kissing as a form of closeness and affection. Thus, the lips are one of the most sensitive parts of the body to touch and stimulation. When we kiss, the brain produces hormones such as dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin, which can make us feel a happy and comfortable sensation. This plays a role in forming the habit of closing your eyes when kissing.When kissing, we reflexively close our eyes. On the other hand, kissing with your eyes open will feel strange and awkward. Why is that?
