The Importance of Closure in a Relationship

Ending a relationship can be tough for anyone, regardless of whose decision it was. When it comes to ending a romantic relationship, closure is often overlooked. Logically, if a relationship starts with an agreement, then it's ideal for both parties to properly end it. In other words, closure is important for ending a relationship without uncertainty or unresolved feelings, allowing both parties to move on.
A sense of closure can be attained when we are content with the resolution of issues that have emerged from the conclusion of a relationship. This can be likened to reaching the end of a relationship. If a relationship ends without closure, it can be challenging for either or both parties to find closure and move on from a failed relationship.
