The Mountain of Tolerance: A Community’s Experience of Dirty Dishes
Guest speaker Emrys Staton will share some experiences of living in intentional communities, and how those skills translate into our wider experience of creating strong communities.
Emrys Staton is currently serving as the ministerial intern at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix. He is a lifelong UU who grew up attending the Prescott UU Fellowship in Prescott, AZ. He received his Masters of Divinity degree in 2012 from the Claremont School of Theology in southern California and a BS degree in geography from University of Arizona in Tucson. His life has taken many twists and turns on the way to ministry, including volunteering with the humanitarian aid organization No More Deaths, working as a graphic designer and solar panel installer, and helping build intentional communities based on faith and on sustainability. One of his favorite UU activities is working with our high school youth as an advisor and chaplain at Camp de Benneville Pines.
