We will explore some of the stories and issues raised in this year’s UU Common Read –”Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption” by Bryan Stevenson. Although the subject matter of the book is tough – “defending the poor, the wrongly condemned, and those trapped in the furthest reaches of our criminal justice system,” this modern day prophet inspires hope. Might we be “stonecatchers” too?
