Spirit: Relating to It All
Our congregation’s own Jerry Fitzmaurice writes: I have always been interested in how people of different cultures and religions viewed life. So I welcome the opportunity to share some of what I have learned. I will try not to stray into my own beliefs, rather I will share what I have learned from others and what has happened to me along the way.
Speaker Biography
I was born in Brooklyn. My father was a policeman and my mother, who was a devoted Roman Catholic, saw to it that my brother and I were sent to the Jesuits for our education and comportment. Many novenas to St. Jude were said on our behalf. I received a BS from Fordham University and an MBA from New York Institute of Technology. In 1979 Norine and I married and in 1981 we moved to Arizona. In 2001 we retired and moved to Patagonia, AZ. After about eight years, we were looking for a little more activity which prompted our move to Sierra Vista. Some of Norine’s friends introduced us to the UUs, and we have been members ever since.
