"Black woman, travel solo. If you're waiting for somebody to see the world with, stop," many travel influencers insist. "But I don't feel safe traveling alone. I'll be lonely. I'll get so bored. I'm scared," many black women say.

I started traveling solo in 2021 after I moved to Mexico. Prior to that I did group travel, traveled with family and friends, and traveled alone to attend a retreat or self-development course. None of this, in my opinion, is 'true' solo travel.

Now that I've been doing this solo travel thing for a minute, I get what some women feel and fear. In this episode, I share MY truth about solo travel. I share what I see as the pros and cons of venturing out alone. And I get candid about one of the biggest concerns, loneliness, and ways to combat it.
