SOTM #8: The Two Traps

In this episode we look at Matthew 6 and the two biggest traps we encounter as disciples of Jesus: the approval of others, and looking for security in what we own.

Question

As you go through the week, would you ask yourself: would I do this anonymously?

Prayer

Lord, thank you that we get to live free from the trap of human approval and from securing and protecting ourselves. Lord, thank you that you are our provider, that you already approve of us, and that everything we need can be found in you. Thank you Jesus for the beautiful life that you invite us into, one that’s free of worry and that has an eternal impact. God help us to see your truth today. In your precious name Jesus, amen.
