Outreach of the Penguins with Science Educator Jean Pennycook

Come and listen to educator Jean Pennycook discuss the connection of her work to science, history, education, and beyond. Learn about Jean’s use of an interactive website that connects penguin research to classrooms and students across the country, providing them with a virtual field trip to the breeding colony of Adélie Penguins. Jean’s goal is to educate others about the research that she and the rest of her science team is learning about penguins. In addition, she relays information about how environmental changes are impacting the lives of those penguins and the Antarctic region. It is educational outreach like no other.
