John 20:19-29 | The “Peace of Christ” hits us all in different ways, but it does hit us all. In fact, this is the primary way we know that we have had a true encounter with the one true living God, who made himself known to the world in the person of Jesus Christ. We saw his peace minister to Mary Magdalene’s sorrow and despair last week, and this week, we will see Christ’s peace minister to the fear of the ten disciples and the doubt of Thomas. God’s Peace always arrives with Christ’s resurrection presence. Start considering when and how the peace of God tends to minister to you… and know that this means the presence of Christ is there, too, by the powerful witness of His Holy Spirit.
