John 10:1-19 | This Sunday we'll have a look at the closest thing we have in John's gospel to a teaching style known as a parable. Matthew, Mark, and Luke record for us a wealth of Jesus's parabolic teachings, but John, as he likes to do, chooses not to include most of these parables because they were already in circulation. However, here we this treasure (not recorded elsewhere) of an extended Jesus teaching on what it means to be THE Good Shepherd.
Hope you can join us as we consider: Why would the all-powerful, all-knowing, Creator God associate himself with this blue-collar, fringe-of-society profession? What does this tell us about the heart of God?
