After a long couple of years for us all, the godly love so personified in the life of a mother has been stretched and leaned upon more than ever. It is that same love we see so often in Jesus -- the Savior who washed his disciples' feet -- that is so needed in moments of uncertainty and distress. It is the love that fiercely protects and gives away the freedom of self to serve the needs of others. It is the love that we cannot live without, or we will barely live at all. It is the love we each possess as God's image-bearers and are asked to share in the world in our own unique ways. It is Motherly Love.
