Like any good trilogy franchise, the Easter Story really has three parts: The Cross, The Resurrection, and the Ascension. The true story of Jesus has to include all three parts to make sense and to save us. So at Sideris, we take three weeks each year to unpack each of the 3 parts of the story.

This week we lean into the Power of the Cross! We take a look at the events surrounding the moments leading up to Christ's crucifixion. Putting ourselves in the shoes of the crowds that welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem with shouts of joy and proclamations of his kingship to then band together to chant and march for his crucifixion just a few days later. It's our goal over the course of these next 3 Sundays to de-familiarize you with the subjects of the cross, resurrection, and ascension so that you might discover new ways of considering them that lead to abundant joy.
