I have had a flood of reveals, releases, and epiphanies coming to me lately all about awareness.
Such as
You only know what you know.
Growth comes by engaging with others and listening to what they know - doesn't mean you need to follow their path but you gain knowledge - such as becoming a parent story
The best mentors were engaged mentees - share memories.
One thing that annoys me is a "know it all" - why - because I use to be one.
There was a time in my life when I was so desperate to feel heard that I felt like I had to know it all, be it all and do it all.
Recently I was triggered by people who act the same way I once did.
I thought for a while that I was brought into their lives to help show them that it's a selfish and lonely way to be.
But now I realize that they have been brought onto my path to remind me that I needed to be that way and go through that time to become more aware.
I think I've mentioned in past episodes that I occasionally reread my journals when I'm trying to find something as a reference, and I just came upon a piece I wrote. I thought this fit perfectly with the discomfort of becoming aware of myself, and I thought you might connect with this piece. So here it goes.
Thank you for joining me today.
