We're honored to have Aimee Parsley on the show today. This season we're talking about getting back to the basics of prayer and finding wisdom.
In Proverbs 8 we read where Wisdom calls us to live lives anchored in God's Truth. Scripture tells us that true wisdom only comes from God. It’s not measured in degrees or accomplishments. It doesn’t come from a formula we create, but only from the One who created us. We’re called to keep our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
The God who knew and loved us long before we were born invites us to know Him in His Word and prayer. Through this abiding relationship, we find the wisdom to live. Wisdom is a patient, ever-present, and generous teacher.
There are no shortcuts to wisdom but the pursuit of God’s Truth has rich rewards. May we become increasingly aware of how priceless a treasure she is and in finding her, may we more deeply know the heart of God.
Aimee is passionate about women supporting each other, encouraging them to lift each other up, to function in their giftedness, and to embrace their identity in Christ.
She is the founder of Day One, a ministry that partners with local organizations to serve women in emotional crisis or escaping abusive situations. Day One hosts intimate events that give women dignity and strength with practical items for a new beginning that makes the outside as beautiful as the inside.
Aimee leads One Chapel alongside her husband, Ross Parsley, and together they have been committed to creating a family of neighborhood churches for over ten years. With five kids and one granddaughter, she is never happier than when the whole family is all together. She enjoys people, eating out, vacations, scrabble, and HGTV. She can’t stand complaining, sports, mean people, and any kind of injustice. Aimee graduated from Oral Roberts University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in music.
