From the matters which should necessitate fear of falling into shirk is the great number of deviant scholars who deceive the people by informing them that shirk is not important.

One the most important principles in avoiding shirk is to learn about it - What is it? What are it's dangers? What are its types? After learning, we should then propagate to all we know, starting with our families.
