Steadfast in his belief that raising youth on participation trophies creates a false fantasy that doesn't prepare children for the harsh realities of the real world. Learning the difficult lesson of failure and not being good enough conditions youth for difficult challenges and processing negative situations. Not all news is good news and everyone's view and outlook doest agree with you. If you don't win you don't get the trophy and if you don't agree with someone's opinion they are still allowed to share their opinion. When everything is given nothing is earned when life is easy the lesson isn't learned.
