Is the Whitehouse corrupt? Journalist Brian Karem joins Shane Hewitt to talk about the unsettling reality of former President Donald Trump's actions, including the controversy surrounding a gifted airplane and his relationship with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince. Karam highlights the hypocrisy of some media figures and the alarming implications of these developments, concluding that it is all "smokes and mirrors." In 1989, Erik and Lyle Menendez were convicted of murdering their parents. Recently, a judge altered their sentences, changing their terms from life in prison without parole to 50 years to life. Professor Michael Arntfield, an associate professor of Criminology, joined the Nightshift to discuss the court's decision, which makes the brothers eligible for parole after 35 years. Arntfield also examined the evolution of criminal trials, including the rise of media influence, often referred to as "trial by Netflix," and the impact of media and social media, particularly in the United States, where district attorneys (prosecutors) are elected officials
