Shane Hewitt and the Nightshift start the show off by talking about their good news and reading some of your texts.

The good news continues as Shane has a conversation with the co-creator of @CaptainCanuck, a Canadian superhero created by Richard Comely. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Captain Canuck. To celebrate, a new variant cover depicts Captain Canuck confronting Donald Trump, reflecting Canadian sentiments about the US president. Richards explains that Captain Canuck, has had three different incarnations and a short-lived animated series, has resonated with Canadians, providing a sense of national identity. A 50th-anniversary edition is being released, and animated and live-action series are in development.

The Trews are a Canadian rock band from Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Consisting of vocalist Colin MacDonald🎤🎶, bassist Jack Syperek🎸, drummer Theo Mckibbon🥁 and guitarist John-Angus MacDonald🎸 who joined the Nightshift’s Shane Hewitt  to talk about the band’s history, his creative endeavour, and the new album their new single “The Breakdown”.
