Mama Comess First

In this week's episode, I had the privilege of speaking about motherhood, menopause, and sexuality with Dawn Moore. Dawn Moore is the founder of Mama Comes First, a pioneering sexual wellness platform for mothers of all stages, backgrounds, and identities. She is also a triple board-certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner (specializing in Mental Health & Women’s Health), Sex Educator, Midwife, and Mom of 4 (ages 5-18).

Through education, community, and bold advocacy, Dawn is on a mission to help mothers break free from the patriarchal capitalist norms that keep them exhausted, isolated, and ‘in line’. She believes that sexual liberation for mothers is an integral part of our world’s collective liberation, because when empowered mothers come together, systems of oppression come apart.

When Dawn isn’t revolutionizing motherhood, you might find her tending to her plants, redecorating her home and camper, or bopping away at a music festival. She also runs a small photography business, and used to be a circus and aerial artist. She loves sunrises and sunsets, salads that she doesn’t have to make, cold brew, chocolate, and orgasms. Rainbow and sparkles are her favorite colors.
