Intoner’s coalescence of sound cannot be constrained to one genre. The Chicago band practices a self-defined class of distorted noise, evocative lyrics and a reverberating energy that lends itself to the buzzing life of the city’s underground scene. Whether it’s somebody’s basement or an established Chicago venue, there’s a reason why concertgoers dub themselves “Intoned” after a show: there’s nothing quite like Intoner.
