Over the past several years, research has shown that acts of kindness can increase our levels of serotonin and oxytocin, and therefore our happiness. A study published by the PMC suggested that happy people “can become even happier, kinder and more grateful” following simple acts of kindness (J Happiness Stud., 2006).
