Is it possible for a pair of shoes to be stylish, durable, and sustainable?

Meet Nothing New, sustainable sneaker footwear innovator and the Seeing Green Solutionist of the Day for September 5.

In this Spotlight series episode, we take a closer look at the hidden footprint of footwear — an industry producing 24 billion pairs of shoes a year, with nearly 300 million pairs tossed out in the U.S. alone. From petroleum-based plastics to leather tanning chemicals, traditional shoes carry a surprisingly heavy environmental cost.
