Transitioning from Special Forces is unlike anything else. It's leaving a family, divorcing an identity, and leaving behind a life that seems larger than anything you could ever hope to accomplish in the future. For Mike, transitioning was like trying to skydive without a Parachute. Nothing he was doing was going to save him while he was spiralling out of control. He ultimately had to crash and hit rock bottom. 
Lucky for us Mike is now, sober, happily remarried, and focused on his recovery and sharing his story in hopes of helping others navigate their transition with clarity and sobriety.
