Therapy Sesh : You Can Do Anything, But You Can't Do Everything

Welcome back to another episode that we like to call - Therapy Sesh! This week's conversation revolves around the recent high school graduation of Payton, Briana's oldest son!  Amy and Briana discuss their experiences and observations of the long, and sometimes tedious nature, of graduation ceremonies and the challenges of attending larger schools. They also discuss the mixed emotions of seeing their children grow up and the pressure to be present for every moment. The conversation then shifts to the stress of summer break and the difficulty of balancing work and keeping children entertained. Amy expresses her concerns about being away from her children for an extended period of time and the guilt she feels for not always being present. Briana offers reassurance and suggests reframing the mindset to focus on the positive aspects of their children's experiences - being able to witness them experiencing life through their own eyes! The conversation covers various topics, including giving children space to experience life, apologizing to children for past mistakes, the pressure on women to meet societal standards, the Ashley Madison scandal, and the historical discrimination against women in business. The overall emphasis is on the importance of meeting yourself where you're at in life, finding like-minded people for support, and giving oneself grace - not only during the Summer, but every day! Remember - you can do anything, but you can't do everything.
