Birthday Bliss : Finding Peace and Other Reflections

Welcome Back! We hope you enjoyed having Chris as our guest host, but Amy is back this week and it's Briana's 40th birthday!!! Their conversation starts with a reflection on their past memories as sisters and a reflection of gratitude and what Briana has learned in 40 years. They talk about the importance of self-care, self-love, eliminating outside noise, and provide advice for their younger selves. Guess if the sisters are Summer or Winter people and dive into how technology changes have affected their lives - the loss of basic navigation skills because of GPS, printing out MapQuest directions, the evolution of cell phones and the limitations they had compared to the access to information and entertainment that smartphones provide today. They emphasize the importance of teaching independence and problem-solving skills to children, using Chic-Fil-A camp as a threat for misbehaving kids, as well as the need for parents to have their own hobbies and interests separate from being a parent.
