On today's show, Keven will speak with our Superintendent, Chris Neeley, and the 2023 District Teacher of the Year, Valerie Dix.Valerie Dix, an ambitious and steadfast Greenville Technical Charter High School teacher, has been awarded for her unwavering dedication to her students. Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, she was determined early on to pursue a profession in teaching, particularly with a specialty in Spanish language instruction. She achieved a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Clemson University with an emphasis in Spanish, followed by a master’s degree in Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College. She is also credentialed in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). Her commitment to developing the skills of her pupils has been widely recognized throughout the State Charter District, further demonstrating her extraordinary passion for helping young minds grow and putting kids first.
