Macca and Kenny talk to Peter Khalil is the Federal Labor Member for Wills. He was elected at the 2016 federal election and re-elected in 2019, 2022 and 2025. He is currently the Special Envoy for Social Cohesion and Assistant Minister for Defence.
Peter is a second generation Australian. His parents migrated from Egypt to Melbourne for a better life. Thanks to the visionary policies of Labor governments, his family had access to public housing, affordable healthcare and a quality education. Peter was able to attend university and forge a career spanning the public and private sectors.
