The last guest this week is Sat Mag regular and friend of the show, Francis Atkinson–Journalist and Reviewer,  an avid reader, freelance writer, book reviewer (The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald) and works as a Media Adviser.

spoke to Nevena, Kenny and Paul.

This week Fran reviewed several pieces for Sat Mag.

Madonna: A Rebel Life by Mary Gabriel

This is a HUGE respectful biography that doesn’t just examine her life, but her role as a cultural icon.

Picnic At Hanging Rock – talk about the longevity of the book/msytique of the film etc. I re-read this a couple of years ago and it was an absolute page turner and so disturbing.

Hannah Kent’s new memoire, Always Home, Always Homesick about her experiences in Iceland when she was a young exchange student and how that time helped form what would become Burial Rights.

Book to Film: Life of Pi by Yann Martel.
