Barrio neighborhood streets are getting a safety makeover! Carlsbad City Council just approved new measures to combat speeding and dangerous driving, including all-way stops, high-visibility crosswalks, rapid-flashing beacons, and a raised crosswalk. One traffic circle will be installed, a compromise after resident and Fire Department concerns. Final approval and construction bids are expected in November 2025, with ongoing data collection to ensure the plan's effectiveness.
